Why we built Free?

We want to revolutionize the social planning industry.

Making plans should bring friends closer. The tools meant to help have too often added another app, another calendar, and another place everyone eventually forgets to check.

What stopped working

Social planning apps forgot how plans actually start.

01

They pull everyone out of the conversation.

Plans begin in the group chat. Then a planning app asks everyone to move somewhere else, rebuild the group, and remember one more place to check. People try it for a while, participation fades, and the group ends up back where it started.

02

The calendar still does not know when you want to hang out.

Even when friends make the effort to use a social calendar, almost no one calendars every class, shift, errand, habit, or quiet night at home. An empty calendar block is not the same as being free to socialize, so those “openings” can be just as ambiguous as asking the group chat again.

A better answer

Keep the chat. Make free time intentional.

Free? is designed around two simple ideas that make the difference between discussing plans and actually having them.

Built into the conversation

Plan with the people already in your existing chats.

See shared availability, create invitations and polls, collect responses, and confirm the plan without maintaining a second group somewhere else.

Availability with meaning

Share the times you genuinely want to spend with friends.

Designate one-time or recurring free time, choose who can see it, and turn real group overlaps into concrete plans immediately.

Our goal

Less effort spent coordinating.
More time spent together.

That is the future of social planning we are building with Free?
